Mountain is the natural energy for the month of February.

There are three words that describe mountain energy and these are wisdom, faith and trust. February is a month during which you will be able to tap into your innate wisdom. Faith is a choice to trust in life and in February you will be given that choice.

As you accept your soul’s plan for this lifetime, your soul’s desire for a life experience – you also understand that this planet that you live on is a creative environment and that with your free will you are creating your life.” Dr. Debra

Each month, through an understanding of the energy, and engaging in a dedicated spiritual practice, it is possible to align yourself with the natural energy of the Tao.

This alignment will create balance in your life; it will enhance your connection to your higher self and with others; it will make it easier for you to live a life of flow; life will be easier; and you will feel happier.

Understanding the energy of February:

The energy of the Tao that is closely aligned with the month of February is mountain energy

Mountain energy represents trust and wisdom and is constant, everlasting, durable, all seeing, always there. Dr. Debra

The story of mountain energy:

Mountains are incredible! I remember speaking with a young girl who was born and raised on the flat Canadian prairies, as she described her first experience of mountains. The awe and wonder that she felt as she drove through the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Knowing that they had always been there. The miracle of their height and her imagining of what you could see from the top of a mountain. The courage that she felt was needed to climb a mountain; the many paths, the many different ways to get to the top.

She understood that mountains were not to be conquered, but they provided opportunities for us to know ourselves.

Mountain energy is part of your life on those days when you tap into your innate wisdom and you feel connected to spirit and your higher self.

Mountain energy is about having faith in life; conviction and confidence that things will work out for the best. Faith is a choice to trust in life and to trust your strength and your wisdom. Faith is trusting in your beliefs, your God, the world and living with strength, wisdom and steadiness; feeling peaceful and full of hope.

You can sense mountain energy within yourself when you push the boundaries of beliefs and share your beliefs with others. Mountain energy helps you be a great communicator, allowing you to make difficult and intangible ideas easy to understand.

Mountains are impressive. Mountains are firmly ground on earth and reach up to the heavens; they are deeply connected to both physical and spiritual.

Excerpts from the book “Daily Pulse, rhythm of the Tao”, written by Dr. Debra.

Spiritual practice for the month of February:

1. Intention:

An intention is a goal or something to aim for and setting an intention gives you direction in life. An intention is your stated desire to act in a certain way and be a certain kind of person. For the month of February, use this intention:

“My intention is to live in the energy of mountain; to live as a strong, steady and wise person who has faith and chooses to trust life.

2. Breath prayer:

A breath prayer is a wonderful way to bring you to the moment, to the ‘now’. Seth teaches that you can only create your life from this moment; life is not created from the past nor from the future. Finding your way to happiness can only be done from now and a breath prayer is a quick and efficient way to bring yourself to this moment.

Find a comfortable sitting position, rest your hands in your lap or hold them by your heart. Close your eyes gently, feel your scalp and forehead soften. Breathe in and breathe out, place your focus and attention on your third eye, that space between your eyebrows on your lower forehead. Quietly and to yourself, state:

“I am spiritual and I am strong, steady and wise and I choose to relax and trust.

Breathe in and breathe out and quietly and to yourself state:

“I reprogram myself toward the energy of mountain and I breathe in trust and I breathe out distrust. I breathe in hope and I breathe out doubt.”

Continue with lovely soft breathing and say a quiet thank you for who you are, exactly as you are.

3. Journaling:

Journaling can take many forms including writing, drawing or scrapbooking. It is a way to record your experiences so that you can review them at another time and build on what you have learnt. Often journaling allows for insights that you may not receive if you don’t take this creative time to reflect.

Journaling questions:

Q1: What does it feel like to be connected to your innate wisdom?

Q2: What would a life based on faith and trust be like?

Q3: Are you taking the time to explore beliefs and intangibles and then share them with others?

Q4: Mountain energy is firmly rooted to earth and reaches up to the heavens. What does this mean for you in your life?

4. Antidote and action:

There are things that you can do, action you can take, to bring mountain energy and the profound teachings of the Tao into your life. In February make a choice to:

  1. Connect with others by ‘walking in their shoes’
  2. Balance your life by focusing on your spiritual connection and being constant, certain and strong.
  3. Find flow and non-resistance by consciously choosing to have faith and trust the flow of life.

The other months of the year:

Just for fun you might like to consider:

  1. What is the energy of your month of birth?
  2. How does that relate to your SolePath? Your LightPaths? Your DarkPath? Your governing number?
  3. If it’s unrelated to any part of your SolePath braid, what might that mean? How does this natural energy manifest in your life?
