Heaven is the natural energy for the month of January.

Doesn’t it seem completely fitting that the natural energy predominant for the month of January is Heaven energy? A beautiful time for us all to refocus and gain a proper perspective, a time to consider what we are creating in our lives.

“Through the teachings of the Tao you deeply appreciate that you are more than your physical body and that you are all connected to each other. That when one part is out of balance, all parts are affected and that life is all about flow, about non-resistance and accepting.” Dr. Debra

Each month, through an understanding of the energy, and engaging in a dedicated spiritual practice, it is possible to align yourself with the natural energy of the Tao.

This alignment will create balance in your life; it will enhance your connection to your higher self and with others; it will make it easier for you to live a life of flow; life will be easier; and you will feel happier.

Understanding the energy of January:

The energy of the Tao that is closely aligned with the month of January is heaven energy

Heaven energy represents perspective and supporting and is creation energy. Dr. Debra

The story of heaven energy:

There has never been a concept so dreamed about nor so debated as the concept of heaven. For those who follow Middle Eastern religion (Christianity, Judaism, Islam) heaven is a place. For those who follow eastern philosophy, heaven is a state of being. For some who are simply spiritual, heaven is where they come from, it is home.

Heaven is a mystery, but in all beliefs around heaven one thing is consistent, heaven is love. It is a positive and loving energy and you may either be coming from there, being there or going there.

In the Tao, heaven represents fundamental creation energy. The trigram of the Tao for heaven is three solid lines, three yang lines. Yang energy is creative, moving, active. This is heaven energy.

Heaven energy is part of your life on those dates that you feel mighty and unrestricted. It is part of your life when you are in an active, doing mode that encourages expansive concepts and new beginnings. It is there when you are both physically active and spiritually connected.

Heaven energy shows up when you have perspective and understand the importance of both giving and receiving support; when you give help to others and are supported by people willing to give you a helping hand. Heaven energy shows up when you are supported by the non-physical world (your God, your guides, your angels) and understand that you are more than your physical body.

You can feel heaven energy within yourself when you are able to have perspective on the meaning of life; when your life has context; when you don’t sweat the small stuff.

In the Tao, heaven energy is creation. Creation is one of our deepest yearnings. Your life is a creation.

Spiritual practice for the month of January:

1. Intention:

An intention is a goal or something to aim for and setting an intention gives you direction in life. An Intention is your stated desire to act in a certain way and be a certain kind of person. For the month of January, use this intention:

My intention is to live in the energy of Heaven; to live as a supported and expanding person who feels mighty and unrestricted.

2. Breath prayer:

A breath prayer is a wonderful way to bring you to the moment, to the ‘now’. Seth teaches that you can only create your life from this moment; life is not created from the past nor from the future. Finding your way to happiness can only be done from now and a breath prayer is a quick and efficient way to bring yourself to this moment.

Find a comfortable sitting position, rest your hands in your lap or hold them by your heart. Close your eyes gently, feel your scalp and forehead soften. Breathe in and breathe out, place your focus and attention on a point six inches (15 cm) above your head. Quietly and to yourself, state:

I am supported and expanding and I choose to feel supported.”

Breathe in and breathe out and quietly and to yourself state:

I reprogram myself towards the energy of heaven and I breathe in support and I breathe out rejection. I breathe in unrestricted creation and I breathe out self pity.”

Continue with lovely soft breathing and say a quiet thank you for who you are, exactly as you are.

3. Journaling:

Journaling can take many forms including writing, drawing or scrapbooking. It is a way to record your experiences so that you can review them at another time and build on what you have learnt. Often journaling allows for insights that you may not receive if you don’t take this creative time to reflect.

Journaling questions:

Q1: How does the creation energy of heaven show up in your life? Do you ever feel mighty and unrestricted? Where, with whom, when?

Q2: Is your life balanced between being physically active and spiritually connected?

Q3: Are you good at both giving and receiving support – or is there an imbalance there? What could you do about that?

Q4: What is your perspective on the meaning of life?

4. Antidote and action:

There are things that you can do, action you can take, to bring heaven energy and the profound teachings of the Tao into your life. In January make a choice to:

  1. Connect with others by giving and receiving support.
  2. Balance your life by focusing on a bigger perspective.
  3. Find flow and non-resistance by consciously choosing the creation energy of heaven and to feel mighty and unrestricted.

Just for fun you might like to consider:

  1. What is the energy of your month of birth?
  2. How does that relate to your SolePath? Your LightPaths? Your DarkPath? Your governing number?
  3. If it’s unrelated to any part of your SolePath braid, what might that mean? How does this natural energy manifest in your life?
