The nature of Compassionate Moon Children.

This article is part of the SolePath Parenting series.

Intellectual ‘Star’ Child | Intuitive ‘Earth’ Child | Spiritual ‘Celestial’ Child

Children with a Compassionate Caretaker, Compassionate Facilitator and Compassionate Healer SolePath are our Moon Children. They are confident and deep. The moon amplifies emotions, and Moon Children have hearts with a great capacity for love.

The Superpower of the Moon Child is Love. This means that they are a compassionate person, who has confidence and depth and is empowered and gentle.

Nature of the Moon Child:

Knowing your child’s SolePath helps you uncover their learning style, thinking style, creative process, how they experience time, and their connection to the Tao. All of this contributes to understanding your child at a deep level and helps you to become the best parent you can be, a parent who provides a happy, loving and nurturing environment.

Learning style: kinesthetic and experiential

The Moon Child learns by doing and needs to be hands-on with activities rather than listening to or watching someone else do it. They need to be active in the learning process.

They process information by taking the initiative, making decisions and being accountable. They learn when they try to do it for themselves.

Thinking style: whole thinker

In the process of learning, understanding and gaining knowledge, the thinking style for the Moon Child is whole thinker, rather than linear thinker. Your child is perceptive and can think in multiple directions and is seen as very intelligent.

They can make connections among apparently unrelated concepts and ideas, and they really like open-ended instructions with options for possible outcomes.

Creative process:

The Moon Child’s concepts and ideas are free flowing and based on forward-looking, original initiation. Your Moon Child, rather than looking at what others have done, uses internal stimuli and insights to create.

Fostering creativity within them includes giving them independence to create what they want and without a definite outcome in mind.

Experiencing time:

Your Moon Child experiences time all at the same time, with good memory and people awareness. Their subjective experience of time is that they are not always discerning about which event or memory came first. Sometimes they have little distinction between past and present events. Their time perception is often that “everything that has happened and everything that is happening” is happening now.

For some of the other categories, time is experienced one step at a time, in a logical progression. Their subjective experience of time is that one event follows another in succession and when the event is over, it becomes a memory. Time has an order to it.

The rhythm of the Tao:

The Tao is the natural order of the universe and keeps the world balanced and flowing.  Water energy is the Tao energy that matches Moon Children.

When light and expanding, Water energy represents flow and empowerment and has depth, is flowing, fluid, reflective and still.

When dark and collapsed, Water energy is too much. It overflows, has no boundaries and is destructive.

Your Moon child embodies the natural energy of water.
