The superpower of the Star Child is Brain Power. This means that they are an intellectual person who is curious, needs process, is unique and is kind.

Intellectual

Your Star Child is very smart. Acknowledge their intelligence to yourself and to them.

Your child is a linear thinker who responds to the world with logic and brain power. Celebrate your child’s brain power and talk it through with them even when this dips over into arrogance. Your Star Child won’t be full of ego, self-importance, superiority or pride if they think that their intellect is acknowledged. 

Your child is learning to rely on and to dive into their intellect. They are truly one of the great minds of the world, who are deep thinkers and require encouragement to access their intellect.

Curious

Your child’s great mind asks so many questions. Star Children are curious and connected, and they are always thinking, always moving, and always wondering why. Sometimes this is simply exhausting – even for them.

On a day without pressure, with lots of time, this can be quite endearing. But on other more stressful days, this can be very frustrating. Understand that this questioning by your Star Child indicates their wonderful, curious and inquisitive mind. Be patient. Celebrate their curiosity.

Process

Give your Star Child time to think things through. There really isn’t anything they can’t solve when they are given enough time and put their mind to it, but they need time to process their thoughts. 

There can be nothing more damaging to a Star Child’s self-esteem than when they are not given enough time to think things through and are then criticized after the fact. Allow them time to go through their process.

Unique

Star Children may not think in the same way that others do. In fact, it’s almost guaranteed that they will think in a way that is unique and different.

Give your child the space and opportunity to do it their way. They will feel exploited and taken advantage of if they are not given the opportunity to do it in their own unique way. 

Traditional learning environments may be too restrictive for your child; school could likely let them down. Bring in other learning opportunities and styles to stimulate your Star Child’s great mind. Find environments that will celebrate and stimulate their mental capacity. In a negative learning environment, your Star Child may be disruptive.

Kind

Kindness and generosity are natural parts of who your Star Child is – with their strong personalities, they just sometimes forget.

Gentle reminders to be kind may be needed. Your child may withhold their love and appreciation in an attempt to get their own way. Be watchful of this. Good logical explanations about why this doesn’t work will remind your Star Child to stop. Model kindness and generosity.
