Intuitive

Your Earth Child has deep intuition, and your child responds to the world through their gut feeling.

They can learn to recognize their intuition through their body responses. Sometimes it’s a feeling in the pit of their stomach – it may be a tingling or it may be goosebumps. Teach your child how to recognize and respond to these body sensations. This is their intuition. Their body keeps them safe with its immediate physical reaction to people, situations and experiences. 

Exercises to help your Earth Child be perceptive and learn to trust their intuition are essential. Ask your child what their hunch is, what their gut reaction is to people and experiences, and listen to what they say. You teach your child to trust their intuition when you validate their responses. Learning to trust themselves will help your Earth Child avoid sabotaging their choices and decisions later in life.

Ideas

Your Earth Child is full of ideas and imagination and is also creative and expressive.

Listen to their ideas. Introduce them to interesting concepts. Engage them with activity boxes and give your child lots of free time and space for their ideas to emerge and their imagination to fly.

Your Earth Child is able to communicate their ideas clearly to others, relate to others and reach out to others. This connection supports your child as a team player who is loved and sought after. The Earth Child can be very self-critical and may not acknowledge or appreciate themself, nor their own ideas. On a difficult day, they will constantly look for outside validation, and this can be very tiring for your child and for you.

Positive

On a good day, your Earth Child feels positive and optimistic and engages in life as a ‘glass half full person’ – someone who knows deep in their core that life is good and things will work out. Encourage your Earth Child’s certainty and optimism. 

It’s a function of being an Earth Child that they are moody and do experience high and low emotions, and this is part of how they create balance in their lives. When they are being moody, help your child to know that they do matter and that everything is ‘not wrong’. Your Earth Child will respond to honest, clear and direct communication that is positive and supportive. Give them space to work through their moodiness.

Playful

Your Earth Child is a participant in life who is fun to be around. They are playful and mischievous, whimsical, light-hearted and good-natured.

Isn’t that wonderful?! These children are fun and full. Play is an integral part of the joy in their life; make time for it and encourage it. Having fun together will build a strong and loving relationship with your Earth Child.

Simply keep an eye out for when play becomes frantic, frenetic or when your Earth Child gets into a tizzy, and then wind the tempo down.

Physical

Provide your Earth Child with many opportunities for strenuous physical activity. They need to sweat to release their stress, to keep their intuitive body tuned up and to feel good about themselves.

Physical activity is important for the well-being of all children, but for your Earth Child, it is almost as important as breathing. 

Find activities that are fun for them and help them make being active part of their everyday life. Create space for them to do organized physical activities, as well as fun, free playtime. Their intuitive body needs action, movement and sweating (for the rest of their life!). Start them young with playfulness, so that it becomes a lifelong habit.
